Service Support Manager (Cluster 6)

Cluster 6 is looking for a dynamic experienced team leader to cover secondment for a Deputy Service Manager. It is essential that the person is experienced in pathway validation and has strong leadership skills. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently, particularly in managing patient complaints.

We are seeking applications from candidates who are effective team leaders and enjoy working in a fast past environment.

Main duties of the job

The Service Support Manager is responsible for assisting the Deputy Service Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the services, ensuring delivery of high quality patient services within the resources available.

Working under the supervision of the Deputy Service Manager, this role will have a strong operational focus providing support for day-to-day management and administration of services/specialities and deputising for the Deputy Service Manager as required.

Key responsibilities include management of the RTT target, ensuring there are robust processes in place to monitor performance and deliver timely care.

The service also has a strong focus on preventative care including Fracture Liaison, which involves pathway management across the acute and community settings.

The Service Support Manager will be responsible for the investigation and administration of the complaints process and assist in the management of related national and local targets for the service lines.

Person Specification

  • Managerial experience
  • Must be able to fully validate all patient pathways and correct on CRS
  • Able to manage Job plan activity and understand capacity
