Overview

The Governors of Cardinal Allen Catholic High School are looking to appoint an Operations and Compliance Manager. This role is part of the school’s business team and will support the Business Manager in ensuring compliance across Health & Safety, food hygiene, fire safety, GDPR and other regulatory areas. The position is permanent and part‑time, term‑time only, with a full‑time equivalent salary paid pro‑rata.

Role Responsibilities

  • Prioritise, organise and respond to challenges.
  • Supervise and line‑manage the in‑house Catering and Cleaning teams.
  • Work closely with the Catering and Site Managers to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure full compliance in areas of Health & Safety, food hygiene, fire safety, educational visits, school website, GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate confidence in supervising teams of staff.
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to achieve the highest standards.
  • Always be willing to go the extra mile for our children.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above in both Maths and English.

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with a range of people at a professional level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) with excellent keyboard skills.
  • Ability to use IT effectively and efficiently.
  • Capability to read/review/amend policies.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of supervising staff and delegating tasks.
  • Experience working in or with schools.
