Maths Teacher

A large secondary school based in Hillingdon are looking for a Maths Teacher.

School are looking for someone to start in September on either a long-term contract or permanent basis.

This position is full time, although part time applicants will also be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS.

School has available parking spaces.

Maths Teacher – Hillingdon, London

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
• Inspire students to develop strong numerical, problem‑solving and analytical skills through creative and well‑structured lessons.
• Support students of all abilities, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes and build confidence in their mathematical understanding.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted intervention to maximise achievement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to think logically, work independently and achieve their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
• Uphold the values and ethos of the school, promoting high expectations, respect and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A relevant Mathematics degree or related qualification
• Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
• Approachable, enthusiastic and committed to raising attainment
