Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As an Apprentice you’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience within the nursery while working towards a sought‑after early years qualification.
We are looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team at Kido Bethnal Green, St Peter’s Mission Hall, 56 Warner Place, London E2 7DA.
What we’re looking for:
Our Level 3 course takes approximately 2 years to complete, but offers you advancement to Level 2 sign‑off as soon as you’re ready. The apprenticeship is designed to be work‑based, with dedicated time allocated to support you with relevant learning and study to gain your qualification.
- No existing qualifications required for the Level 3 role, but you must have a genuine passion for Early Years and Childcare and be hardworking and keen to learn.
- You must have some evidence of experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting.
- You must have the right to work in the UK and must hold UK residency for the past 3 years or more.
- Maths and English GCSE is desirable; if you do not have these you will complete a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills. Current equivalent of Level 1 Maths and English is required to be accepted initially.

- Shortlisted candidates will provide details of all unspent convictions prior to interview, in line with our Safer Recruitment process. We will also process an Enhanced DBS Criminal Record check for anyone who joins the team.

What we offer on L2 Apprenticeship
- Salary for L2 Apprenticeship: £18,200 for full‑time, 40 hours per week.
- Once qualified salary increases to £26,000.
What we offer on L3 Apprenticeship
- Salary for L3 Apprenticeship: £19,240 for full‑time, 40 hours per week.
- Pay increase when you achieve Level 2 competency sign‑off, bringing your salary up to £21,320 (within first 2 months).
- In the second year of your apprenticeship, you receive a big pay uplift to the minimum wage for age.
- Once you complete your qualification your salary increases to at least £26,499 and you are eligible for a £500 qualification bonus paid in two instalments.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising year on year to 30 days after 5 years service.
