Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product & Market Discovery – Define, develop and validate new product and market concepts based on customer needs, operational constraints, regulatory context and market trends. Capture and structure customer needs through direct engagement (1:1 meetings, workshops, user groups, pilots). Translate customer problems into clear use cases, value propositions and problem statements, and validate concepts through feedback, prototypes and early market testing.
  2. Product Strategy & Marketing Planning – Define a mid‑to‑long‑term product and marketing plan, owning the product narrative and ensuring consistent messaging across documentation, presentations, sales enablement and customer communications. Contribute to go‑to‑market positioning, pricing logic and value articulation.
  3. Product Definition, Business Cases & Requirements – Create and maintain clear, complete and approved product definitions and business cases. Produce structured product artefacts, including product definitions, scope, business cases, use case definitions, functional and non‑functional requirements. Act as the primary interface between commercial teams, IT, operations and other stakeholders, coordinating approvals and alignment.
  4. Product Launch & Go‑to‑Market Execution – Initiate, drive and control product launch initiatives to ensure timely delivery of specifications and readiness. Manage launch plan elements: product and pricing offers, promotion and communications, training of internal teams and customers, and completeness of customer‑facing and operational documentation.
  5. Operational Documentation & Product Run‑the‑Business – Own and maintain operational integrity through high‑quality, up‑to‑date documentation and clear operating models. Produce and govern operational and customer documentation such as rule books, service descriptions, user guides, FAQs and operational guides, ensuring alignment with product behaviour and delivery processes.
  6. Portfolio & Lifecycle Management – Manage a product portfolio throughout its lifecycle: define yearly objectives, monitor performance, track sales targets, adoption metrics and P&L performance. Identify improvement, renewal or decommissioning opportunities and incorporate feedback into roadmap decisions.
  7. Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership – Act as a visible product representative toward customers, partners and industry stakeholders. Deliver customer presentations, storytelling and join industry events, forums, working groups and user groups. Facilitate structured feedback loops to influence product strategy.
  8. Market Intelligence & Knowledge Sharing – Monitor industry trends, standards evolution and competitive dynamics. Share insights with internal teams and contribute to strategic discussions. Represent the product in industry bodies, regulatory forums and associations.
  9. Coaching & Capability Building – Provide advice, guidance and coaching to less senior product or market managers. Support skill development in product thinking, documentation, customer engagement and storytelling. Promote best practices in product management, customer centricity and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree.
  • Experience: At least 10 years in a financial operations/product or service development/project planning/management role, including 5 years as product manager.
