Role Overview

As a Team Leader, you will manage a small team of Technicians and lead on prioritising tasks and organising warranty repairs. You will liaise with the customer to ensure train availability and reliability targets are achieved.

You will provide technical support, diagnosing faults and conducting root cause analysis for an advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, using electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software.

Salary

Real Living Wage Employer, competitive salary of approximately £60,000 per annum.

Requirements

Successful candidates are natural communicators and collaborators, able to motivate others for results. They possess NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus extensive post-qualifying experience and a wide knowledge of on-board train systems.

Experience in detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems, proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams, and skill in diagnostic software and test equipment. Hold a valid driver’s licence and a flexible approach to varying shifts, including weekends and both day and night shifts.
