School Regional Attendance Officer

Role: Attendance Officer

Academy: To work across Adwick, Danum, Carlton, Shafton and Hemsworth

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary (Actual Salary): £23,389 – £24,475

Working Pattern: 37 hours Monday – Friday TT plus 5 days

Awarded to ensure maximum student attendance, the Attendance Officer will implement whole-school strategies, reduce persistent absence, conduct home visits and late gate patrols, and support students and parents to address attendance barriers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement whole-school attendance strategies in line with Academy targets.
• Conduct home visits and late gate patrols to investigate and address attendance issues.
• Provide operational and administrative support to maintain accurate attendance records.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to uphold Safeguarding procedures and requirements.
• Act as key liaison between a range of agencies and the Academy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in monitoring student attendance and implementing improvement plans.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and adherence to safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and emotional resilience when engaging with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
