3 shift rotation: days, nights, afters, (5.45-2, 1.45-10, 945-6) (15 min hand over) – salary £41800
Weekend call out – 6 week rotation – £100pw, if called out you only do 8hrs per day, when called out youre called out – it wont be continuous throughout the day – 1.4x hourly rate if worked full hours that week. When called out automatically paid for 2 hrs minimum.
Overtime: Weekend rate time and half – overtime is there if people want it, not compulsary.
Moving to contis – don’t know when. 3 on 3 off 7-7 – up salary to £50,500
Someone who can be autonomous – prioritise job lists etc. Everything is done on a CMMS system – Agility.
PLC – siemens, mitsubishi, OEM – won’t ever plug into it, just fault find to it.
60/40% preventative to reactive at the moment so in a good place. Aim is to improve over time.
Maintenance and tooling dept. sit side by side, will assist with tooling as and when needed just for basic tool maintenance.
Be able to have competant conversations with setters to see if the breakdown is a tooling issue or maintenance issue and go from there to identify the fault.
Talking about getting the engineers gas safe certs for fixing the boilers on the rotary equip.
IV process:
one stage with richard on site, start with a meet and greet Q&A – get to know them and discuss experience and talk through the business. Site tour and practical test if successful.
Usually goes onto the smallest machine they have which is an injection moulding machine, 24 yrs old, will put a fault on the machine, typically take a fuse out. Not looking for you to fix the fault but wants to see how you work and what your approach is. Making sure that you work methodically and safely, LOTO etc.
