An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced band 5 nurse to join our dedicated Chemotherapy Day Unit team (based at Scunthorpe General Hospital). We are a small but busy unit with excellent patient feedback, providing specialist care to Oncology and Haematology patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT). We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate nurse to complement our team to help drive forward our services. The role of a SACT nurse is to provide holistic care for patients receiving SACT and is a challenging and rewarding field of nursing.
We operate Monday to Friday and offer clinical supervision and professional development. If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, come and be part of our committed team delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer systemic anti-cancer treatments (chemotherapy).
- Allocate and check the work of junior staff and healthcare support workers.
- Support the unit manager by undertaking basic audits as required.
