Role Overview

The Attendance Officer works within the Attendance Team, pastoral staff, and the wider school community to achieve excellent attendance rates.

Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for colleagues, families, local authorities, and relevant services.
• Maintain and analyse attendance records using ICT, primarily SIMS and ‘Attend’; training will be provided.
• Collaborate with equivalent colleagues in neighbouring schools.
• Promote the school’s attendance policy and support staff and students.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Familiarity with and use of ICT; experience with SIMS and Attend is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List.
