Job Description:

We are working with a Tier One Contractor that deliver a range of high specification Construction & Fit Out Projects across Berkshire , Buckinghamshire, Beds, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire & Surrey.

Project Values range from £500k up to £20 million, and clients span the Motorsport ( Formula 1) Pharmaceutical and Commercial Office sectors

As a result of expansion the company are looking to recruit a Mechanically biased, commercially savvy and experienced Design Engineering Manager

Based out of the company’s offices near Reading, Berkshire, and out on site, as a Design Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

  • Design Coordination: Validate designs, review technical submittals, and ensure M&E systems comply with statutory regulations and project specifications.
  • Client Management: Work closely with each client to ensure that they benefit from commercially & technically sound M&E Building Services solutions
  • Pre-Construction & Procurement: Work with the commercial team on tender evaluations, value engineering, and the procurement of specialist mechanical subcontractors.
  • On-Site Management: Coordinate M&E packages with the broader construction and architectural teams to avoid clashes and resolve technical queries (RFIs).
  • Quality & Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of systems to ensure they function safely and efficiently before handover.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will get the chance to work on some interesting projects with some of the biggest names in motorsport .

The successful candidate will be Mechanically biased and will be able to demonstrate some design experience working on high specification Commercial Office Construction and Fit-out Projects

You could have worked for a M&E Design Consultancy and be looking to transition to a contractor or already be in a Contracting environment but be keen to work for a more agile, growing business

The right person will be rewarded with a basic salary of between £80k-£90k plus Electric/Hybrid Vehicle , medical , pension, 25 days annual leave and a profit related bonus.
