Job Role
The job is predominantly carrying out the below key responsibilities for a lawyer with a disability. This role will be working in partnership and in collaboration to ensure tasks are completed as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the creation of presentation notes and slides, research papers, client advice and emails, articles for publication, attendance notes and any other written media where technology cannot facilitate
- Creating and formatting data analysis tables and charts
- Taking notes at meetings or during phone calls
- Extensive reading aloud of on-screen content/material
- Accompanying principal to internal and external meetings or delivering documents to colleagues where necessary
- Filing electronic and hard copy documents and emails
- Assisting with general accessibility and mobility tasks in the office.
- Other ad hoc tasks
Teamwork
- Attend training courses as required
- Attend secretarial meetings as required to keep up to date with firmwide procedures, current issues and add value to the secretarial practice
- Contribute to the team being proactive and helpful to colleagues and other fee earners by providing assistance during busy periods and covering for other fee earners in colleague’s absence
