Business Development Manager
Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days WFH)Package: Basic salary + uncapped commission + car allowance + strong benefits
A leading technology provider is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to win new customers and grow a small portfolio of existing private sector, education and housing accounts.
If you enjoy consultative selling, building long-term relationships and developing accounts over time, this role gives you the platform and the portfolio to make a visible impact.
The Role
Youll be responsible for both new business development and account growth, including:
- Identifying and winning new private sector customers
- Re-engaging dormant or underused accounts
- Growing revenue across a broad technology solutions portfolio
- Building strong relationships with IT, operational and procurement stakeholders
- Understanding customer priorities and positioning relevant solutions
- Managing renewals, proposals, commercial discussions and pipeline forecasting
- Working closely with technical teams and vendor partners to shape solutions
What Youll Bring
- Proven B2B sales. Cold calling through to account management
- A track record of growing revenue within existing accounts
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline data
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, managed services or technology solutions
- Confident communicator able to engage senior stakeholders
Desirable: Experience in private sector, education or housing markets; familiarity with CRM systems (Dynamics ideal).
