Our Plymouth Parent’s Accommodation and Support Service (PPAS) is an exciting and vital project providing support and developing living skills to parents (aged 16+) and their children who live in our supported accommodation.
We are looking for confident, caring and trustworthy support workers to work at the project on a part‑time, permanent basis. There are no personal care responsibilities. Support workers will help parents develop their living and parenting skills. The role involves working evening shifts and weekends until 9 pm on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure parents and children are safe.
- Help parents become sustainably housed.
- Support parents to develop positive parenting skills.
- Implement and facilitate group sessions.
- Promote engagement and support access to community services.
- Advise on housing‑related issues, welfare benefits, finances and budgeting.
Safeguarding and Multi‑agency Work
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. You will work closely with other professionals, reporting safeguarding concerns and attending multi‑agency meetings.
