About The Role
We are now looking to recruit an additional Maintenance Facilities Operative within our Facilities team based at our state‑of‑the‑art factory in Barton‑upon‑Humber. The candidate will work 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, 07:00‑15:30.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out PPMs to set standards and update appropriate records
- Carry out minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified) and plumbing works
- Conduct unplanned maintenance tasks as and when requested by the management team
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
- Check functionality of safety systems
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental requirements (including risk assessments)
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate experience of preventative maintenance activities
- Good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation, and of computerised maintenance management systems
- Previous experience of mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing works, preferably within a facilities background
- Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
- IT literate with excellent communication skills
- Pro‑active attitude
