As the business enters its next phase of growth, we are seeking an exceptional Group Commercial Director to help define and execute the Group’s commercial vision and accelerate international expansion.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Group Commercial Director will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy across all United Nomads Group brands and channels.

Working closely with the Founder & Managing Director, the successful candidate will lead revenue growth, business development, strategic partnerships and international expansion across wholesale, ecommerce, private client sales and retail operations.

This is a highly visible leadership role that combines strategic planning with hands-on commercial execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the Group and building a scalable commercial organisation capable of supporting significant long-term growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and implement the Group’s commercial strategy across all brands and business units.

  • Define short, medium and long-term growth plans.

  • Establish annual budgets, revenue targets and commercial objectives.

  • Monitor channel profitability, performance and return on investment.

  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Drive sustainable revenue growth and margin expansion across the Group.

  • Provide regular reporting, forecasting and commercial insights to the Founder and Board.

Wholesale & International Sales

  • Lead global wholesale strategy across DELOS and CARAVANA.

  • Manage and optimise agency, showroom and distributor relationships.

  • Develop key wholesale partnerships across North America, Europe, the Middle East and selected international markets.

  • Build relationships with leading luxury retailers, department stores and independent boutiques.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements and annual trading plans with key accounts.

  • Deliver annual wholesale revenue and profitability targets.

  • Evaluate future wholesale operating models and market expansion opportunities.

Ecommerce & Digital Commerce

  • Partner with digital and marketing teams to accelerate ecommerce growth.

  • Develop customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value strategies.

  • Identify opportunities across marketplaces, affiliate channels and strategic digital partnerships.

  • Improve conversion, customer experience and online profitability.

  • Ensure commercial alignment between ecommerce, marketing and merchandising functions.

Private Client & VIP Commerce

  • Develop and expand private client and VIP sales programmes.

  • Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, tastemakers and key brand advocates.

  • Create exclusive client experiences, events and selling opportunities.

  • Expand community-led commerce, ambassador and influencer revenue channels.

  • Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen customer acquisition and engagement.

Retail Expansion & Hospitality Partnerships

  • Lead the commercial expansion strategy for ODEUM and future retail concepts.

  • Identify and evaluate new retail, hospitality and destination opportunities globally.

  • Develop partnerships with luxury hotels, hospitality groups, members’ clubs and resort operators.

  • Structure and negotiate commercial agreements for new locations and partnerships.

  • Explore innovative retail formats that enhance brand visibility and profitability.

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and evaluate new revenue streams and growth opportunities.

  • Assess geographic expansion opportunities across key international markets.

  • Lead negotiations for strategic partnerships, collaborations and licensing opportunities.

  • Build relationships with investors, landlords, hospitality groups, luxury retailers and industry partners.

  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investments where appropriate.

Leadership

  • Be a trusted commercial partner to the Senior Management team.

  • Provide leadership and direction across commercial, sales and business development functions.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and performance.

  • Develop organisational capability and succession planning within commercial teams.

  • Support the evolution of the Group’s leadership structure as the business scales.

  • Represent the Group externally with customers, partners and industry stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior commercial, sales, wholesale or business development leadership roles within luxury fashion, lifestyle, retail or hospitality sectors.

  • Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth within an international business.

  • Extensive experience managing wholesale and distribution networks.

  • Strong understanding of luxury consumer behaviour and global market trends.

  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.

  • Experience operating within entrepreneurial, founder-led or high-growth businesses.

  • Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to influence and inspire teams across multiple functions and geographies.

  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
