The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead all sales activity and bid management within the Hydro Power market, while supporting the full lifecycle of contracts. Ideally based in the central belt to Scotland, this role offers the opportunity to travel across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead market analysis and strategic initiatives within the Hydro sector.
  • Represent Quartzelec at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, including tender preparation, contract negotiation, and ensuring full compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Hydro customers, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle, from handover to completion, including attendance at key review meetings.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to project teams, sharing specialist expertise.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider business.

What We are looking for:

  • Proven experience within the Hydro or Power Generation industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with a solid technical understanding, ideally supported by an engineering background.
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience in tendering processes and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
