What you’ll be doing

  • Developing competitive, high-quality M&E pricing solutions across a major water framework
  • Supporting all stages of pre-construction, including early contractor involvement
  • Producing estimates ranging from high-level budgets to detailed bottom-up pricing
  • Reviewing client specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
  • Collaborating with bid managers, planners, designers, and commercial teams
  • Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
  • Engaging with supply chain partners and assessing subcontractor quotations
  • Preparing cost breakdowns, comparisons, and tender submission documentation
  • Attending client meetings, site visits, and internal reviews
  • Ensuring all submissions meet quality standards, deadlines, and commercial requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience delivering M&E estimates within the water industry
  • Strong ability to interpret incomplete information and apply engineering judgement to develop accurate pricing
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a framework environment
  • Solid understanding of water industry processes and M&E assets
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client requirements
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex bids
  • Proficiency with estimating software and standard IT packages
