Full‑time role located in Kensington & Chelsea, Central London. Start date September2026, contract full‑time, five days per week, duration September2026 to July2027. Competitive daily rate.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high‑achieving secondary school in Kensington & Chelsea to recruit a skilled and proactive DT & Art Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative or practical background who wants to work in a school environment supporting DT and Art.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT and Art lessons.
• Support students during practical sessions.
• Maintain workshop and studio equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and demonstrations.
• Manage stock, resources, and materials.
• Support a safe and productive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a workshop, studio, school, or practical environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety in practical settings.
• Ability to support students and staff confidently.
• Full‑time availability September2026 – July2027.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).

Desirable Qualifications

• Background in Design & Technology, Art, Product Design, or related creative field.
• Previous school‑based technician experience.
• Familiarity with tools, machinery, or art materials.
