Band 3 Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) Scheduler
Part‑time post for 30 hours (4 days per week).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Systemic Anti‑Cancer Treatment (SACT) scheduler to join the SACT outpatients team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. We are looking for 2 part‑time (4 days per week, 30 hours) individuals to join our newly established SACT pathway coordination service, to streamline care and improve the experience of patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Work will be across our 3 outpatient SACT units:
- King Edward Ward, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
- Bracknell Chemotherapy 1, Bracknell Healthspace.
- The Rosemary Centre, West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham.
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling SACT appointments for patients on the SACT units provided by the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Working closely with clinical staff, pharmacy, and administrative colleagues, the SACT Scheduler ensures timely and accurate scheduling of treatment to optimise patient care, improve patient flow, and support safe and effective delivery of SACT services. This includes ensuring capacity is used efficiently and according to clinical priority and patient need.
