Senior Infrastructure Engineer – 14926

Location: 60% hybrid Blackpool/ Newcastle

Contracting Authority: Government Client. Contract Length: 2 months. Clearance: SC.

The MUST have skills required are:

• Strong hands on experience with Oracle Base Database
• Significant experience working within Oracle Exadata environments
• Ability to bring specialist OCI and Exadata expertise into the team, supporting knowledge sharing and upskilling of existing team members

Essential

1. Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Dataguard, RMAN Backup and Recovery) and Public Cloud Technologies (particularly OCI and AWS)
2. Writing Infrastructure as Code and debugging Terraform and Ansible
3. Managing and maintaining Security procedures including:
   • Implementing network segregation in a public cloud environment (preferably AWS)
   • Incorporating transport encryption to protect data in transit (preferably Oracle)
   • Understanding implementation of database encryption options (preferably Oracle)
4. Conducting Migration Testing (preferably through Oracle and AWS) and implementing secure authentication with OIDC for GitLab runners
5. Maintaining and updating repositories with Git
