£30,000 basic + £38,000 OTE (Uncapped)

A growing technology business is looking to hire a Business Development Representative to join a newly growing commercial team in South Manchester.
This role is focused around generating new business opportunities for a specialist software platform used within recruitment and compliance environments. You’ll engage with existing and prospective customers, introduce the proposition, generate interest, and qualify opportunities for the wider sales team.
This is a strong opportunity for somebody early in their sales career who enjoys outbound activity, wants to develop commercially, and is looking for a clear progression route into a closing role.
The role will involve:
• Outbound prospecting via phone, email and LinkedIn
• Introducing the platform and generating interest with prospective customers
• Qualifying opportunities and booking product demonstrations
• Managing pipeline and activity through CRM
• Re-engaging dormant accounts and existing contacts
• Working closely with the wider sales team on campaigns and target accounts
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on performance
• Building knowledge across recruitment, compliance and technology markets

• 12+ months experience within sales, recruitment, lead generation or customer-facing environments
• Confident communicator with good energy and resilience
• Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs
• Commercial mindset and willingness to learn
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills
• Somebody who wants progression and long-term development
