Barnaby Cecil is an independent financial planning firm based in London. We specialise in helping senior NHS doctors, business owners and internationally mobile professionals make better financial decisions through our WealthMap® planning process.
We are entering an exciting growth phase, with a particular focus on two specialist markets:
- Senior NHS consultants and medical professionals.
- US citizens and US-connected professionals living in the UK.
Our ambition is to become the leading financial planning firm in these niches through exceptional client service, clear communication and thought leadership.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional marketing role.
This is a commercial role for someone who wants to take ownership of the journey from first contact to signed client.
You will work directly with the Managing Director to help build our profile, generate opportunities, nurture prospects and manage the client acquisition process.
The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of marketing, business development and client onboarding.
You will be responsible for ensuring opportunities never fall through the cracks and that our growth engine operates consistently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing & Content
- Coordinate LinkedIn content production and scheduling.
- Manage social media activity across LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
- Repurpose videos, webinars and client insights into written content.
- Coordinate external designers, editors and marketing suppliers.
- Monitor engagement and identify opportunities for follow-up.
- Maintain content calendars and campaign schedules.
- Lead Generation
- Support the implementation of our lead generation programme.
- Monitor enquiries from LinkedIn, webinars, referrals and lead magnets.
- Engage with prospective clients and maintain regular contact.
- Identify opportunities to increase awareness within target niches.
- Support webinar and event promotion.
- Pipeline Management
- Own and maintain Pipedrive CRM.
- Ensure all opportunities are tracked accurately.
- Monitor progress through each stage of the client journey.
- Follow up prospects at appropriate intervals.
- Coordinate meeting bookings and next actions.
- Ensure proposals and onboarding documents are issued promptly.
- Client Acquisition Support
- Support prospects from initial enquiry through to becoming a client.
- Assist with WealthMap proposal administration.
- Coordinate onboarding processes with the operations team.
- Provide weekly updates on pipeline progress and conversion rates.
- Help identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
Reporting & Growth
- Produce weekly growth reports.
- Track marketing performance and lead sources.
- Monitor conversion rates across the client journey.
- Help refine and improve our client acquisition process.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, client experience and growth.
What Success Looks Like
Within 12 months:
- A consistent content and marketing engine is operating.
- Qualified opportunities are flowing into the business each month.
- The prospect journey is organised, measured and repeatable.
- Pipedrive is fully maintained and up to date.
- Prospects receive timely follow-up and communication.
- New recurring revenue attributable to the role exceeds twice the annual salary cost.
