We’re supporting a leading manufacturer in the automation & electrical components space as they look to strengthen their UK sales team with an Area Sales Manager for the South / South West.
If you’re a driven external sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and owning a territory — this one’s for you.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and growing sales across the South / South West region
- Visiting and supporting OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, distributors and end‑users
- Developing new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts
- Working closely with internal sales, technical teams and the Head of Sales to deliver strategy
- Using CRM to track activity, pipeline and customer engagement
- Representing the business at exhibitions, customer meetings and industry events
- Contributing ideas, feedback and insight to support ongoing growth
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years in an external sales role
- Strong new business development experience
- Background selling into automation, electrical, industrial or related technical markets
- Confident relationship‑builder with excellent communication skills
- Organised, self‑motivated and able to manage your own territory
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change
