Job Summary

Shift Leader (Residential Support Worker) in a Children’s Home, Northampton, Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities

Care for young people day‑to‑day, ensuring their safety, well‑being and personal development. Maintain smooth daily operations, support the team and uphold the highest standards, stepping in to deputise for Team Leaders when necessary.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • A can‑do attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
  • Honesty, empathy and the ability to relate to and build relationships with young people.
  • Resilience to manage challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent; if not held, the employer will pay for study and support you every step of the way.
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost covered) and an online search are required.
