Role Overview

Applications are invited for a Consultant in Paediatric Haematology. The successful applicant will provide care, primarily to patients with leukaemia and undergoing stem cell transplant, and be involved in the ongoing development of Immune Effector Cell and Gene Therapy. The role includes in‑patient, day‑care, clinic and laboratory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients with leukaemia and those undergoing stem cell transplant.
  • Conduct in‑patient, day‑care, clinic and laboratory duties.
  • Contribute to development in Immune Effector Cell and Gene Therapy.
  • Work within a 10‑session rota: 1/8 ward, 1/5 laboratory and 1/5 transplant on‑call.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate experience and qualification in paediatric haematology.
  • Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practice.
  • UK‑trained candidates: evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for CESR, or within 6 months of confirmed entry from interview date.
  • Non‑UK candidates: demonstration of equivalent training.
