Healthcare Science Assistant

Position within the cardiology department at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. The role primarily supports ECG services and arrhythmia monitoring at both the trust and in the community, assisting senior healthcare scientists with specialist clinics.
Main duties
- Record ECGs, exercise tolerance tests, tilt table tests, and arrhythmia monitoring.
- Assist in community‑based ECG clinics and intrahospital cardiac investigations.
- Analyse clinical data and produce technical reports.
- Travel to Royal Stoke Hospital, County Hospital and community sites within Stoke‑on‑Trent and North Staffordshire.
- Follow the trust’s training and development programme for specialist cardiac investigations.
Person specification
Education / Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in ECG recording.
- GCSE in Science or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience in a cardiac physiology department.
- Experience delivering cardiac diagnostic testing.
- Evidence of recent learning in cardiac science.

Contract
Fixed term for six months.

£25,760 to £27,476 per annum pro‑rate.
