Summary

You will take a leading role on one of the UK’s most significant rail infrastructure programmes, managing commercial delivery for major tunnel and civils packages. This is a chance to move beyond standard cost reporting and drive high‑value commercial strategy on a high‑profile scheme in London.

What you will need

  • Valid right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or four years of equivalent industry experience.
  • Essential experience in NEC contract management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for commercial reporting.
  • Major project experience is essential for those applying at Senior level.

The work

  • Lead the commercial management of complex sub-contracts from initial tender through to final account.
  • Produce accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget documentation for major civil works.
  • Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Liaise directly with project management, engineering, and client teams to ensure full contract compliance.
  • Maintain rigorous cost control and manage change control processes within a fast‑paced environment.

What you bring

  • Proven background in heavy civil engineering or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Capability to manage package delivery rather than just close‑outs or minor sub‑contracts.
  • Proactive approach to problem‑solving and a drive for continuous professional development.

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data tools is advantageous.

Where you will work

The role can be based in locations across West London. The working pattern is a fixed hybrid model of three days in the office or at site and two days working from home.
