This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to influence whole-school strategy, develop outstanding provision and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and promote outstanding inclusive practice
  • Oversee EHCPs, interventions, assessments and targeted support programmes
  • Monitor pupil progress, analyse outcomes and drive continuous improvement
  • Support, coach and develop teaching and support staff in effective SEND practice
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, therapists and external agencies
  • Lead annual reviews and ensure pupils receive the provision they need to succeed
  • Maintain accurate SEND records and reporting systems
  • Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every pupil

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Previous SENCO or SEND leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of EHCP processes and SEND legislation
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • A collaborative approach and genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
