As an Experienced Financial Adviser, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial advice to a portfolio of clients, with the goal of building long-term, trusted relationships. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge, experience, and St. James’s Place’s world-class investment solutions to provide tailored advice and solutions across a range of financial areas, including investments, retirement planning, estate planning, protection, and tax-efficient strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular reviews and adapting strategies in response to changes in circumstances, legislation, and markets.
- Financial Advice & Planning: Deliver bespoke, high-quality financial advice across a wide range of areas, including retirement planning, investment strategies, tax mitigation, protection, and estate planning.
- Case Management: Manage a portfolio of clients effectively, ensuring that all aspects of their financial plans are reviewed regularly and appropriately.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all advice and recommendations comply with current financial regulations, ethical standards, and St. James’s Place’s internal policies.
- New Business Development: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and personal connections, whilst maintaining a high standard of service to existing clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the wider team, including paraplanners and administration support, to provide seamless client service.
- Continual Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes to ensure advice is current, relevant, and impactful.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Track Record: At least 3-5 years of experience as a financial adviser, with a demonstrable record of success in advising clients on a wide range of financial matters.
- Financial Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (e.g., DipPFS or equivalent) is essential; Chartered or Certified status is desirable.
- Client-Centric Approach: A deep commitment to providing exceptional client service and building long-term relationships.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
- Knowledge of Investment and Financial Products: Expertise in investment management, tax strategies, pensions, and protection products.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, including MiFID, FCA regulations, and suitability requirements.
- Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
