Principal UI Engineer Belfast (Hybrid from Belfast0 My client is the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, connecting financial institutions across fixed income, FX, equities and commodities. Their Belfast engineering hub sits within a global technology function working on platforms that underpin some of the most complex financial markets on the planet. This is serious engineering at real scale. They are looking for a Principal UI Engineer to sit at the top of their front-end stack – someone who sets direction, owns architecture and makes the engineers around them better. What you’ll be doing Leading UI architecture and engineering standards across a complex, high-scale financial platform Driving delivery of ambitious front-end features from design through to production Setting patterns, tooling and best practices that the wider engineering team works to Collaborating closely with product, design and back-end engineers to ship cohesive, high-quality experiences Mentoring and developing senior engineers around you Contributing to technical strategy and acting as a voice for front-end craft at leadership level What they’re looking for Deep expertise in React, with a strong understanding of performance, architecture and modern front-end engineering at scale Solid experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure A track record of owning and delivering large front-end initiatives end to end Experience working in complex, multi-team product environments Someone who leads through influence and brings a team along with them Strong Senior Engineers ready to step up to Principal level are encouraged to apply This is a rare opportunity to take on a genuinely senior front-end role at one of the most established names in global financial markets, with a world-class engineering hub right here in Belfast.
