Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Location: Coventry / Midlands with national travel

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Strong Benefits Package

About the Company

We are partnering with a well-established contractor delivering projects across the civils, construction, and infrastructure throughout the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to operational excellence, they are looking to appoint an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Manager to support projects across multiple regions.

This is a role where you will be working closely with operational teams, project leadership, and senior management, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and embedding best practice throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Environment, Health and Safety Manager

  • Lead HSE performance across multiple construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide proactive support and guidance to project teams, site management, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and behavioural safety programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as company standards.
  • Support project teams throughout all phases of delivery, from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on HSE performance to senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSE strategies and objectives.

The Successful Environment, Health and Safety Manager Will Have

  • HSE experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, visible, and hands-on approach to safety leadership.
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum, with Diploma or equivalent desirable.
