What you will do

  • Manage a diverse caseload, including Youth Cautions, DTO, and Section 91 cases
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver impactful interventions
  • Prepare detailed court reports and confidently represent the service at court proceedings
  • Implement innovative approaches such as the Child First methodology, systemic practice, and race-based trauma-informed practices
  • Collaborate with young people directly in a vibrant inner-city, multicultural setting, fostering growth and positive change

Requirements

  • Acquire a professional qualification in areas like youth work, social work, education, or criminal justice (e.g. CQSW, DipSW, PGCE, Diploma in Youth & Community Studies, Professional Certificate/Foundation Degree in Youth Justice or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate experience working with young people within an inner-city, multicultural environment
  • Possess prior experience within Youth Justice Services and the ASPIRE model of practice
  • Showcase strong skills in assessment, intervention, report writing, and court representations
  • Apply innovative practices, including Child First approaches and trauma-informed methods
