Slitter Operator

A Slitter Operator is required to join a multi-national steel firm located in the Smethwick area on a temp to perm basis.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating the slitting lines
• Loading and unloading steel coils
• Marking material with works information
• Banding up processed coils when required
• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel

To be considered for this role you will need to have prior experience running slitting lines within a steel processing company.

The position is working days and nights rotating weekly (5 days / 4 nights);Working – 6am – 4pm (1pm finish Friday) / 5:30pm – 5:30am (Monday to Thursday)Paying – £15.86 (days) / £18.03 per hour (nights)
