Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Prestigious Venue | South Kensington | Client Direct | £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

CBW is partnering with a world-famous historical venue in South Kensington to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their in‑house maintenance team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Pumps, motors, seals, bearings
  • Air conditioning – air handling units / fan coil unit (filter changes, cleaning)
  • Water treatment (temperature checks / not dosing)
  • General building fabric
  • Escort specialist sub contractors
  • General building fabric
  • Undertake repairs to HVAC plant and associated systems to a high standard
  • Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required
  • Maintain informal communications with client staff members related to service levels and issues
  • Report service‑affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency
  • Be fully aware of relevant health and safety and general legislative matters

Working Hours:

  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
  • 2 early shifts: 07:00‑17:30
  • 2 late shifts: 16:00‑02:00
  • Cab home provided after late shifts (must live within M25)

Requirements:

  • Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial building services (landlord & tenant areas desirable)
  • Apprentice trained (advantageous, not essential)
  • Ability to work the 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
