Overview
Senior DevOps Engineer (Hands-On) – Shape Strategy, Lead Engineers, Build at Scale | Hybrid | 2 x a week | Bristol > £75,000
We are partnering with an established digital technology organisation to find a hands-on DevOps Practice Lead who can take ownership of cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and delivery excellence across multiple client environments.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable AWS solutions
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) adoption
- Build robust CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling
- Lead containerisation strategies with Docker and Kubernetes
- Mentor engineers and set technical direction across projects
- Lead technical conversations with stakeholders, improve DevOps processes, guide team development, and shape scalable architectures to enable high-quality software delivery at pace
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering background with experience across the full software delivery lifecycle
- Hands-on IaC experience is essential
- Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable, production-grade platforms
