We are looking for a customer-focused and proactive Parts Advisor to join our busy team at our Benington Branch in Hertfordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with customers, and supporting both retail and workshop operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers and technicians receive the right parts, on time, with excellent service throughout.

Reporting directly to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of the parts department, assisting customers and technicians with machinery parts enquiries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling customer enquiries face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
- Identifying and supplying the correct parts for agricultural, construction, or horticultural machinery
- Processing and dispatching customer orders efficiently and accurately
- Supporting workshop technicians with parts identification and supply
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
- Handling payments and ensuring accuracy with cash and card transactions
- Maintaining product knowledge to confidently advise customers
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth department operations
Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and diplomatic approach
- Strong customer service skills and confidence dealing with the public
- Good numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Computer literate with experience using email and basic systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Well-presented, reliable, and organised
- Sales-focused with a motivation to achieve targets
- Knowledge of agricultural, construction, horticultural, or motor industry parts
- Previous experience in a retail or showroom environment
- Understanding of machinery or mechanical components

Additional Information:
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Benington, Hertfordshire, SG2 7BZ
Hours: 39 hours per week 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday. Saturdays as per rota. Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, hourly paid
Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience
