Job Description:

Job Description Summary

You will work collaboratively with our Investment Directors and fellow Investment Associates to provide investment and capital markets research, analysis, and advice to our clients. The role offers opportunities to participate in client and investment manager research meetings from the beginning. You will be joining our Global Investment Services (GIS) division, working with multiple clients and supporting several projects simultaneously. While all colleagues are responsible for arranging their priorities to meet deadlines, a strong culture of teamwork and cooperation among the practice groups supports task and assignment management. Although the position involves quantitative assessment, it also requires a strong qualitative component in evaluating investment opportunities and formulating investment recommendations for clients. In addition to client work, you will have ample opportunities to get involved in business development, marketing, capital markets, and fund manager research (investment due diligence). From the start, you will be exposed to and have the opportunity to learn from some of the firm’s most experienced Managing Directors across all asset classes. We will also provide mentoring and training, and support studies towards professional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA if not already obtained.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive training program and continuing education opportunities
  • Structured mentorship program pairing Investment Associates with experienced Investment Directors
  • Access and participation in meetings with clients and world‑leading investment fund managers across all major asset classes, in particular Private Investments
  • Opportunities to take on responsibilities from an early stage and work closely with other team members across ranks
  • Support and full sponsorship for professional designations such as CFA, CAIA, etc. (if not already obtained)

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of investment strategy and portfolio construction recommendations for clients, taking into account market opportunities and risks
  • Critically evaluate and assess investment managers’ portfolios and performance
  • Interface with clients and respond to client requests
  • Prepare capital markets exhibits and other client presentation materials
  • Participate in fund manager meetings and assist in the assessment processes (e.g., writing summaries of fund manager meetings for internal distribution and investment consideration)
  • Contribute to investment due diligence reports across a wide range of asset classes, with a particular focus on Private Investments
  • Conduct proactive assessment of potential markets and clients, prepare prospect outreach, and help compose client pitch materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (economics or business degree preferred but all courses of study accepted from motivated applicants) with a record of high academic achievement
  • Prior experience within the Investments and Asset Management industry desirable
  • Demonstrable interest in learning more about Investment Management across all asset classes
  • Teamworking, problem‑solving, writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work reliably with reduced oversight and collaborate as part of a team under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to engage in conversation with clients, fund managers and internal stakeholders across multiple divisions and practice groups
  • Knowledge of a European language desirable (but not required), in addition to high proficiency in English
  • Desire to, or in the process of obtaining, a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA, or equivalent)
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office suite (particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

Base salary range: $45,200 – $54,600. In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined by skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.

The firm is committed to the concept and practice of equal employment opportunity and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
