Maintenance Technician – Advanced Manufacturing (Shift-based role)
Location: Taunton
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, EDM tools, and coating systems.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve equipment performance.
- Work from technical drawings, manuals, and engineering instructions to ensure accurate maintenance.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment through risk assessments and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and external contractors.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in engineering, electrical, or maintenance.
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
- Awareness of health & safety practices and procedures.
- A proactive, hands‑on attitude and strong attention to detail.
