Operations Analyst – Contract role – Belfast
MCS Group is looking for a skilled Operations Analyst to join a highly renowned financial services firm based in Belfast. This is a brand-new 6-month contract job opportunity.

They have a huge global footprint and are widely recognised as a leader in their relevant sectors. There is an established presence across UK & Ireland, with Belfast growing rapidly as a centre of excellence.

The Role:
As the successful Operations Analyst, you will support the BAU processes regarding EMIR regulations:
- Executing complex transactions and overrides in line with established procedures and SLAs
- Providing thorough analysis and reporting / operational support
- Analysing service delivery issues, conducting internal and external research projects to contribute to audit reviews
- Identify and manage risks, escalating non-standard, high-risk transactions and activities
- Documenting and investigating processes & exceptions arising from transactions / processes beyond 1st level operations service delivery
The Person:
The successful Operations Analyst will meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within financial services – ideally within regulatory reporting or trade operations
- Proven regulatory knowledge – EMIR, MIFID or similar
- Self-starter who naturally picks things up quickly
- Highly analytic with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical internal team members
