Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job Summary
Primary schools in East London are seeking Psychology graduates to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, complex needs and social and emotional mental health requirements. The role involves supporting pupils both within classes and on a 1:1 basis outside the classroom for interventions such as speech and language therapy.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist pupils in focusing within lessons.
- Deliver interventions, including speech and language therapy, as required.
- Collaborate with school staff to build rapport and maintain consistency throughout the academic year.
Qualifications
- Completed a degree in Psychology.
- Passionate, proactive, reliable and committed to working with children.
- Desire to gain experience in a school setting before pursuing further study in educational or clinical psychology.
Working conditions
- Salary: £90-115.
- Full‑time or part‑time positions available.
- Remaining academic year and beyond.
- Immediate start required (ASAP).
