Benugo – Chef de Partie – Science Museum Manchester

We are looking for experienced Chef de Partie to join the team at SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY MUSEUM IN MANCHESTER!Support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food across our café / Grab & Go offering, as well as events. Help prepare, cook, and present food to Benugo standards, while ensuring all records and procedures are completed. Work closely with the Head Chef to create a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable service for our customers.

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

• 5 day working week
• Mixture of shifts with evenings being the busy periods when there are event bookings

Key Responsibilities

• Grab and Go cafe range / Event support
• Prepare, cook and serve dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Organise mise en place and stock levels for next day.
• Maintain food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor food waste and assist Head Chef with stock rotation and stock control.

Required Skills

• Strong cooking and food preparation skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and consistency.
• Teamwork and leadership abilities.
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie.
• Experience working in a professional kitchen.
• Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop.
