Job Introduction
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to play a key role in delivering safe, compliant and high‑quality electrical services across our portfolio.
Working closely with operational teams, clients and stakeholders, you will ensure all maintenance, installations and electrical works are carried out to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with current legislation and industry regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance activities
- Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on electrical systems and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures
- Conduct inspections, testing and certification where required
- Support minor works, projects and installations across the contract portfolio
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with operational teams and clients to ensure service excellence
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and energy efficiency
- Deliver all activities in line with safety, quality and compliance standards
What You’ll Bring
- Recognised Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations certification (essential)
- Experience working within a facilities management, maintenance or building services environment
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of electrical compliance requirements and health & safety legislation
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- Experience within healthcare, government, defence, education or other regulated environments
- Knowledge of CAFM systems and digital reporting tools
