Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Controller to support the delivery of a large, complex engineering programme. You will play a key role in providing accurate performance reporting, insightful analysis, and robust cost and schedule control to enable effective decision-making across the project.

About the Role

Working as part of an integrated project team, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of a high‑profile programme through high-quality data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and validating project performance data from multiple sources to support cost, schedule, and milestone reporting
  • Analysing cost and schedule trends, investigating variances, and identifying emerging performance issues
  • Preparing and presenting performance reports to Senior Project Managers and Control Account Managers, including root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions
  • Supporting cost, schedule, and quality management by providing relevant metrics and insights to project leadership
  • Assisting with estimates at completion, resource profiling, and cost forecasting activities
  • Supporting risk and opportunity management, maintaining registers and ensuring impacts are reflected in cost and schedule performance

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Project Controller, Project Analyst, Cost Engineer, or similar role, with a strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, earned value, or risk management

Required Skills

  • Confidence in interpreting data, identifying trends, and presenting clear, meaningful insights
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience using project controls or data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, COBRA, Primavera, SAP, or similar
  • Background working in a complex engineering, defence, manufacturing, or financial services environment
