Job Description:

As our Senior National Account Manager, you will partner with household names to grow the product portfolio across multiple channels, helping to take our UK presence to the next level. You will report to the Sales and Business Development Director and serve as a key client‑facing representative.

Salary & Benefits

Base salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum.

  • A 12% EOT Bonus (paid annually in December/January)

  • Death in service benefit of 4× salary

Location

Hybrid based in the North‑West of England – you will travel throughout the UK and attend the Head Office monthly. Candidates may live in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Bolton, Liverpool, or Barnsley.

Role Overview

The Senior National Account Manager will maintain and grow a portfolio of national accounts (approximately £10 million), expanding with additional SKUs, new product lines and private label opportunities. Working closely with internal stakeholders – Head of Sales Processing, Head of Demand Planning and Commercial Merchandiser – you will help shape UK strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a GBP 10 million portfolio of accounts across retail, grocery, wholesale and distribution.
  • Network within clients’ estates including convenience, daily, petrol forecourts, etc.
  • Increase SKUs and initiate new products.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and key category range reviews.
  • Create, implement and manage Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Provide market intelligence to inform UK strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience managing national accounts in retail (grocery big four), discounters, wholesale, and distributors.
  • Experience owning a product category (e.g., garden, outdoor living, travel, home heating, beach, health & beauty, household, seasonal, accessories).
  • Managed accounts of at least GBP 1–2 million in size or potential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle complex discussions.
  • Data‑driven decision maker: collect data, convert into actionable strategy.
