Working hours: 37 hours per week – 8:30am‑4:30pm Monday‑Thursday, 8:30am‑4:00pm Friday (30 min unpaid lunch break)
Weeks per year: Year‑round contract
Grade: 7
Salary range (per annum): Support staff salary points 8 – 14; £26,824 to £29,540 (FTE) – with a pay award pending
Location: Twynham Learning Core Services (“Head Office”) – co‑located with The Grange School in Christchurch, Dorset; travel to all trust schools (BCP conurbation) and occasional remote work
Reports to: Trust IT Manager
About the Role
You will help shape the IT system across a modern, secure digital environment, supporting a broad range of technologies. You’ll troubleshoot issues through multiple channels and explain solutions clearly to both technical and non‑technical users.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Trust IT Lead to implement forward‑thinking ICT systems
- Protect the security of the core network, servers, cloud services, and end‑user systems
- Support Windows, Google, and Apple environments
- Champion new technologies that enhance teaching, learning, and staff productivity
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with Safeguarding and Child Protection policies
Qualifications
- Experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role
- Windows Server, M365, and Active Directory skills
- Experience with network configuration
- Experience in mobile device management (Intune, Jamf, Endpoint Manager), Microsoft Configuration Manager, and backup systems
