Early Years Teacher – Sheffield

About the role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join a primary school in Sheffield. This part‑time role is due to start in September 2026 and will be offered on a long‑term supply basis for one term, with the possibility of extension. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment where early development is prioritised and staff are committed to providing a strong foundation for every child.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Support children’s early development across all areas of learning
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support each child’s development

Pre‑requisites

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. QTS, PGCE or equivalent in Early Years or Primary Education)
• Proven experience of working within an Early Years setting
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Two education or school‑based references
• A nurturing approach with excellent communication and organisational skills
