Marketing & Events Coordinator (Part-Time, Hybrid)
Overview
Our client, a dynamic and student-focused organisation, is seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to support the delivery of engaging campaigns and events that enhance community experience.
This is a varied and creative role combining digital marketing and event coordination. You will play a key role in promoting commercial activities and delivering a programme of social events, while contributing to larger flagship events throughout the year.
This is a part-time (30 hours per week), hybrid role based in Southampton.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging social media content and marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Design marketing assets to promote commercial services and activities
- Plan and deliver small-scale events that encourage community engagement and participation
- Support the coordination and execution of large-scale events and campaigns
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers
- Assist in promoting income-generating outlets and services
- Monitor campaign performance and contribute to marketing insights
- Provide on-site support during events, including occasional evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Experience in marketing, events, or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to create engaging written and visual content for social media and digital platforms
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Creative mindset with a proactive, can-do approach
- Flexibility to support peak event periods, including occasional out-of-hours work
- 24 days annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays and additional closure days
