About You

You will bring:

  • Excellent Excel and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and journals
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

Required / Preferred Experience:

  • Essential: Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Essential: Experience using an ERP system (preferably Microsoft AX or Dynamics)
  • Essential: Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: AAT qualified, ATI qualified, or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and month-end processes
  • Exposure to management accounts preparation and financial analysis
  • Experience supporting AP and AR functions
  • Knowledge of VAT and audit processes

Other Requirements:

  • Some travel may be expected
  • Must have employment rights to work in the UK

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting packs
  • Assist with financial analysis, including margin, overhead and performance reporting
  • Maintain and improve financial models and spreadsheets used for business reporting
  • Support VAT, Intrastat and audit requirements
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve queries and improve processes
  • Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives as required
