Head of Finance (Divisional Finance Director)
Overview
We’re looking for a high-impact finance leader to partner directly with senior executives at the heart of a FTSE 100 business. This is a visible, relationship-led role where your ability to influence, challenge and shape decisions at the most senior level will matter far more than the industry you’ve worked in.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with senior executives and their SMT, providing insight, challenge and support on key decisions
- Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance insight for a large, complex area of the business
- Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-financial leaders
- Influence investment decisions, priorities and trade-offs at senior leadership level
- Provide visibility and narrative into performance for the CFO, Executive Committee and Board
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team
We’re Looking For
You’ll Likely Bring
- Strong finance business partnering experience at senior/Executive level
- Experience working closely with an Executive, CEO or equivalent senior leader
- A track record of influencing and challenging at ExCo or Board level
- Experience in a large, complex organisation where stakeholder management is critical
- The ability to operate with confidence, credibility and pace in a highly visible role
- Strong communication skills – able to simplify complexity and land messages clearly
Not Essential
- Experience in utilities or asset-heavy industries
- Direct capital programme experience
